Until this past weekend, it had been a year and a half since I ran more than 17 miles at once. I had to look back at my training logs to confirm the date, mileage, and pace because I couldn’t remember if I had run that distance in the absence of a fall marathon goal race in 2019 (I knew I hadn’t run that distance in 2020).
Spring is almost here. Next weekend, we’ll spring ahead to adjust for Daylight Saving Time in Ohio, and the following Saturday will mark the equinox. I’m so excited! Warmer temps are coming! 🥰
On Saturday evening, my family got together via Google Meet to play Yahtzee. The last time we tried this, each of us kept score on our own. This time, my sister created a scorecard in Excel and shared her screen while keeping track of our scores electronically during the game.
K and I took Scooter, our cat, to the vet for a check-up visit last Friday. Scooter never enjoys the experience, but this time he seemed to be more upset than usual.

Do you love winter? I can’t say that it’s my favorite time of year, though I appreciate that the frigid season keeps away warm-weather creatures that might take up residence in Ohio without a significant cold period.
